Kerri McGonigle is a passionate and creative classical cellist who loves to push musical boundaries while respecting the traditions of the past in order to inspire and connect with people through music. She has criss-crossed the globe to perform everywhere from Italy to the Banff Centre for the Arts as well as doing studio performances for CBC television and radio. She will be joined at her Lovenotes concert by Julia Seager-Scott on the classical harp. Together, they call themselves Kerria, which means double flowering Japanese rose.

Amélie & Les Singes Bleus

Big, fun magical music making! This local Toronto band delivers tight funk, blues and French folk music. Led by local Toronto mom, Amélie Lefebvre , the band is so fun, and Amélie is so captivating as the “chanteuse” and entertainer, that people are literally smile throughout the entire show, and again the next day just thinking about it. The band will play an energetic and not too loud acoustic set guaranteed not to hurt little ears.

VC2 is an innovative cello duo able to captivate audiences through their performances of classical masterworks, unknown gems and boundary pushing music (covers of Foo-Fighters anyone?). Comprised of cellists Amahl Arulananda and Bryan Holt, the Toronto-based duo have presented accessible programs in venues ranging from intimate pubs to Roy Thomson Hall.
